Our standard examination includes high resolution in-depth scans of the back of the eye to help detect early signs of eye problems. If you are over 60, diabetic, have a close relative with glaucoma, or are exempt on grounds of low-income, book this type of appointment. There will be a charge of £20 on top of the NHS contribution towards a basic sigh t test. If you are under 40 with no history of eye problems, you can opt to omit the in-depth scans - please call 0800 977 5994 to book your appointment.

The “in-depth” examination includes a detailed scan of the optic nerve and retina with the latest technology. Fee is £49.50 for patients not eligible for a NHS sight test.

NHS test is free if you are under 16 or still in full-time education up to your 19th birthday.

We offer an extended trial with lenses for which there is a charge of £59 for new wearers. There is no charge for existing wearers switching to our practice and joining our contact lens care scheme.

If you currently wear contact lenses fitted elsewhere, please ensure you have your current prescription or lens packaging when you attend. Note that all our contact lens patients are required to join our monthly aftercare scheme - more details on request.
